We are looking for motivated, hard-working, dedicated and focused individuals to join our team. The positions:
Groundsmen - Experience is a plus, but if you are a hard worker with a good head on your shoulders, who likes working outdoors in a hands-on environment, this may be a great place for you to start learning the tree business! We pride ourselves in operating an excellent customer-focused service-based business and our team is our backbone! With that being said, this is NOT the job for those who are looking to only do the bare minimum, or those who have a history of job hopping. As a Groundsman, some of your responsibilities would include assisting the climber, working the ropes, tying knots, dragging brush, running a hand-fed chipper, operting a log splitter, working with chainsaws and cutting limbs/trees as directed, and assisting in job site clean up.
Trimmer/Climber - have you ever wanted to learn to become a climber? Do you have the physical strength and stamina to climb to the tops of the tallest trees, with a chainsaw on your waist? Are you skilled with ropes, angles, and rigging? If so, we want to hear from you. We are seeking a climber in training to join our talented team! If you have experience, that's a plus, but we are willing to teach someone who is hungry to learn. As a climber, some of your responsibilities would include climbing trees for pruning or removal, with spikes/spurs or without as needed, dragging brush, inspecting gear and job sites for safety issues, operating trim saws or ground saws, rigging ropes and guiding limbs safely to the ground, and much more. Assisting in job site clean up is a requirement of all team members.
Our company: We have been in the residential and commercial tree business for over forty years serving all ranges of clientele in the Hampton Roads Peninsula areas. We are definitely not the cheapest tree service around because we believe in providing the BEST service to our customers and paying our crew what they are worth!
